Pro Vita provides contract care services for various health environments spanning Independent Living to Complex Care. We provide a range of disciplines in health care from Director of Care, Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPN, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Resident Care Aides, Recreation staff and Rehabilitation Assistants.
Care Manager
The Care Manager liaises with the facility’s Director of Care in planning, coordinating and evaluating care delivery. They are responsible for the overall performance of Pro Vita Care staff at the site.
Clinical Coordinator
Reporting to the Director of Care, the Clinical Coordinator shares responsibility for the care provided in the licensed care area of a large continuing care home and ensures care standards are maintained in accordance with the applicable regulations, standards and legal requirements.
Director of Care (DOC)
The DOC provides direct supervision to primary nursing staff, as is appropriate for residents adhering to established Standards for Nursing Practice and the policies and procedures of the Care Centre. Ensures all standards and regulatory requirements of Licensing, the Health Authority and Provincial/Federal legislative requirements are at minimum, met or exceeded.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Working under the guidance of the DOC, LPNs assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for their work assignment in accordance with competency guidelines within the standards of practice as outlined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC (CLPNBC) current legislative scope of practice and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the organization.
Physiotherapist
Under the general direction of the Care Manager, and in conjunction with the members of the multidisciplinary team, the Physiotherapist assesses, plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates intervention for residents in relation to physiotherapy practices.
Recreation Activity Aide
Under the general supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, the Recreation Activity Aide carries out established recreation programs, which have been designed to meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs/interests of the residents. Provides input into the planning and evaluating of these programs.
Recreation Coordinator
The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for supervising recreation aides, recruiting and training volunteers; overseeing the development and the implementation of therapeutic recreation programs that meet the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs/interests for the residents.
Registered Care Aide (RCA)
Under the direction of the Pro Vita Care Manager or designate (Team Leader; Nurse on duty), the Resident Care Aide assists residents with all activities of daily living, including the physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs/interests of residents, in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Facility.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Registered Nurses provides direct primary nursing care, as is appropriate for residents adhering to established Standards for Nursing Practice, as well as the policies and procedures of the host organization.
Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN)
RPNs provide direct primary nursing care as is appropriate for residents in the area of nursing, Basic Life Skills, and fulfilling Basic Needs, such as medication administration, medical treatments, physical and mental health assessments, making medical appointments and other needs as indicated. Able to communicate verbally and in writing, clearly and distinctly with residents, families, staff and other persons and agencies as required. Responsible for supervising care staff on your shift. Participate as part of an interdisciplinary team and to uphold the Standards for Nursing Practice.
Rehabilitation Assistant
Under the consultative work direction of the Physiotherapist and general supervision of the Recreation Coordinator or designate (Nurse) the Rehabilitation Assistant carries out established programs that focus on prevention, restoration, maintenance and health promotion for designated residents with assigned rehabilitative and recreation activities according to the established policies and procedures of the organization.

Social Worker
The Social Worker develops, promotes, implements, and monitors quality social service programming to the residents and families of the facility in accordance with applicable regulations, standards and legal requirements and as approved by the facility.
